Many small dog owners don’t train their small dogs, perhaps it is because of their size and think they are less of a threat than their GSD, for example. But all dogs can benefit from training. I have some amazing clients who have spent time, money and commitment in helping their small breeds become happy, confident and well behaved.
I am proud to say, the Power of Dog Littles are ambassadors-in-training for their sizes and breeds and have dedicated handlers at the end of their leash. In my own experience as a trainer, I have encountered several breeds with bite histories who were Border Collies, Shih Tzus, Dachshunds, Labs, Bulldogs, Chows, Goldens and Heelers. It’s time to ban BSL and irresponsible owners, not a specific breed.
